Across the Anglican Communion, mission is often described through the Five Marks of Mission: to proclaim the good news of the Kingdom of God; to teach, baptise, and nurture new believers; to respond to human need through loving service; to challenge unjust structures of society; and to safeguard the integrity of creation.
In practice, members usually get involved in mission in a few common ways: through prayer for mission partners, financial giving, direct local outreach and service, and, in some parishes, short- or long-term partnership with dioceses or ministries elsewhere in the Communion.
